How exterior waterproofing works

Dig outside

We excavate along the problem walls down to the footing, so the whole outside face of the wall is open.

Fix the wall

We clean the wall and repair cracks and damaged spots before anything goes on it.

Membrane + drain tile

A waterproof membrane goes on the wall and new drain tile goes in at the footing to carry water away.

Backfill

We fill the trench back in and clean up. Most jobs are done in 2 days.

Questions

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many feet of wall need work, how deep the foundation is and what's in the way outside (decks, driveways, landscaping). That's why we come out and give you a free written estimate instead of guessing.

How long does the job take?

Most jobs are done in 2 days, because our own crew does the digging. Bigger jobs can take longer, and we'll tell you the plan in the estimate.

Do I need exterior waterproofing or something else?

Not every wet basement needs excavation. Sometimes it's gutters, grading or a downspout. We'll look at it and tell you straight what we see.

What happens to my yard?

We dig a trench along the walls that need work. Before we start, we walk you through what has to be moved and how the area gets put back.

What areas do you serve?

Milwaukee County, Waukesha County and most of southeast Wisconsin. Ask us if you're just outside that.
